A copy of a nice letter to Grandma G from Suzie

Okay... I'm taking a little license here that maybe I shouldn't. I so loved this e mail that I got from Susanna - I think everyone might like reading it. I just talked to Grandma and read it to her and she loved it too. She laughed and that was so good to hear. I often have a hard time thinking of what to say to her. So anyway... for whoever wants here's Suzie's e mail. Enjoy.

Dear grandma,
A couple days ago, our class did a class election for mayor. Millions of people ran, and millions more didn't. I was one of the people that ran for mayor. Of course, I had only a 20 out of 100 chance of winning. When we did it, I had to promise a lot of things. And didn't know if I was going to win. I was really intense and I was also a little scared. What if I don't get any votes?Or what if I get all votes, and no one else voted for any one exept for me? Soon I was going to find out though. After a movie and my teacher had counted all of the votes. She announced it. She said "It was almost a tie, but one person won by one vote" Then I said in my head, "Hurry up! None of us care about this, we just want to know who won!" Then my teacher said "But the winner is... Suzie!" my heart skipped a beat, and I could barely say anything. The only thing that I could do was slap my mouth with my hand. So that's what I did, over and over and over again! All I could do was that.
But then what I saw almost made me want to give it up.My best friend also ran for mayor. And when I looked over at her, she was almost crying! I knew that if we both ran, and one of us won, the other would be really mad. But I thought that she never wanted to see me ever again! But, I was wrong. So now I am mayor.
By the way grandma, I love you so much! And I can't wait until I see you again. Oh and me and Chandra, made a little dare. She made 2 necklace's and gave one to me. She said that, until you get home, we have to wear them wear ever we go. So that is what we will be doing till you get home! I love and miss you so much, and I hope you have a great Valentines Day!
Love always,
Suzie

Gee... aren't we all so glad to know someone famous like this 'new mayor.' Especially when 'millions' were running.

So That's Where Babies Come From

Last night we were hanging out with Sam & Massiel and we went for little field trip. First we went to Harmon's. Devan and Sam quickly disappeared. The next thing I know I'm standing next to Massiel at the check out line and she said the boys had stuck Sophie in a pile of stuffed animals and were taking pictures. We finally caught up with them next to the red box machine. One of the cashiers looked at Devan holding Sophie and said "She is so cute. What aisle did you find her on?" Sam then replied with "Funny you should ask. We found her in the $2.00 bin." He then proceeded to show her the picture he took...at which point...her voice jumped about 4 octaves and began to call over all the Harmon employees within ear shot.

After that we went over to McDonalds. Apparently Sophie enjoys air hockey.

We finished the night with some good ol' fashion cat mauling. As mean as Gary is to people, he is super sweet to Sophie. He just lays there and takes it...he might even enjoy it.

Anniversary

Yesterday was mine and Devan's 8 year anniversary. Man...time flies by fast doesn't it. When I got home from work Devan surprised me with flowers in a box...just like in the movies. I've never received flowers like that before. They were beautiful!

Oh, and check out the card that was attached.

After opening my flowers he took me to the Carl Bloch exhibit down at BYU. I have been wanting to see it ever since it opened. What a gorgeous display of artwork. Afterwards we walked around campus, took a stroll through the bookstore, and lastly we went to grab a bite to eat. Now, usually we end up eating at some nice sit-down place and spending lots of money...but this time Devan took me to J-Dawgs. For those that don't know what J-Dawgs is it has the best hot dogs ever. It was wonderful evening! Thank you honey!! I love you!!!

New product notice: Rot touch up ... Guaranteed to cover up all your rot!

When I got a new phone 2 months ago, I quickly realized it came with a calender and notepad.  As you may or may not know, I like making lists, checking my lists, crossing off things on my list.  I'm a "list" kind of gal.  I routinely make notes to myself of groceries or whatever errand or thing I want to remember into my phone.

The other day, after watching a hair commercial for "touch-up-your-roots-yourself-in-ten-minutes" I decided I'd actually give it a try.  So I made myself a note to buy some next time I was at the store.

Well, today, while checking my notes for this upcoming week, I found a note to buy "Rot Touch Up".  So to all the rot I've got laying around ... beware.
