Dinner at Magelby's

Why does Devan always look mean? I think
he had fun?

I know Doug looks hilarious but I didn't take
that many pictures so I added it. Sorry Doug! Funny though.

This one I added because Danna Lee looked so
cute but I'm afraid Adam is kind of blurry.

I know, I know, Sam and Massiel are blurry
but it was good of Katie and Doug (trying to make
up for the other one of Doug)

Cute Katie!

The last of Hawaii pictures

Snorkeling

Pearl Harbor. Very interesting but somber sight.

Another hike.

Finally, a sunny day at the beach.

Another amazing tree in Hawaii. This one is on the temple grounds. The roots grow up and then grow back down into the ground.

BYU Hawaii campus.

Doug found himself a coconut on the beach and followed the demo at PCC and opened it. It took him slightly, (or a lot) longer then the demo, but he did get it open, and it was good.

Picture jackpot

Hey, we love the pictures - keep em coming.

Hawaii Part 2

More of Hawaii...
Sunset beach.

Look closely to the left, those aren't rocks. The turtles were so big. We even saw several when we went snorkeling.

Doug thought he was Tarzan. I kept waiting for the branches to break, but they never did!We went on this fabulous hike. The water fall is normally a trickle, but do to all the rain, it was a roaring waterfall.

Rainbows everywhere!
When we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, (PCC) each island in the Pacific is represented by some type of a show. Doug got randomly picked to go on stage and shake his boody with Tahiti. We were rolling on the floor, we thought it was hilarious, I don't think Doug thought it was so funny.

More shows at PCC.
Samoa demonstrating how to open a coconut and make coconut milk.
This guy climbed a palm tree in about 10 seconds flat, pretty impressive.

At PCC practicing in a New Zealand game.
After all these day shows we ate a dinner buffet at PCC of all you can eat crab legs, prime rib, sushi, fish, chicken, salads, fruits, and desserts. After dinner we went to a night show. Photography wasn't allowed, but it was pretty amazing. Lot's of fire dances, regular dancing, and fabulous entertainment. It was pretty amazing.

The highlight for Doug. Golfing in Hawaii.

Hawaii

Those of you who wanted to see Hawaii pictures will be sorry you ever asked. This is only round one of lots more to come. I hate to steel Kirrah and Ashley's thunder, (who did GREAT by the way) hopefully I don't bump there pictures off. So, you might want to hit 'older posts' at the bottom to make sure you see all the pageant goods. Now on to Hawaii....

The Hukilau House. This is where we stayed. It has 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and the back yard is probably 20 yards away from the ocean. It is also within walking distance of the Temple, Polynesian Cultural Center, and BYU Hawaii, (our friends were evacuated during the Tsunami warning).

Boogie boarding behind the house in the rain, soooooo fun though!

These totally amazing trees grow all over in Hawaii. They are colored this way from roots to tip, (and they are VERY tall). No, nobody paints them, although it looks like it.

If you ever wanted to know how a pineapple grows, here you go!

The day the public beaches were closed, nobody in the water. The under currents were to strong. Although this is also the day we went boogie boarding, gotta love private beaches.

A fancy restaurant we ate at. Pricey, but the views were spectacular. No windows, just open, the birds and wonderful rain smell only added to the enjoyment.

The whole group.

A look out point.

Standing on the temple steps looking out towards the Ocean, you can see the water if you follow the palm trees all the way out.
